Hot Shield HS-4 Respirator Housing and Face Protector Mask
Hot Shield Fire Resistant Respirator Housing Model HS-4 is designed specifically for the Sundstrom brand, model SR-100 Half Face Respirator. The HS-4 provides a high degree of thermal protection to face & neck areas through its unique design and use of CarbonX fabrics, the most inherently non-flammable fabric in the world.
A single layer of CarbonX is “third party tested” to achieve a RPP rating of 11 cal/cm2 and a TPP rating of 10 cal/cm2. This combination allows the firefighter to get the respiratory protection of a Sundstrom SR-100 and the thermal protection of a Hot Shield mask.
The combination of the HS-4 and the Sundstrom SR-100 (part of the Wildland First Responder Kit by Sundstrom NA) is easy breathing, user friendly & comfortable even in for extended time periods. Has the added advantage of allowing for “fit testing” of individuals as the respirator seals to the users face without any fabric interference.
Features 3M Scotchlite Reflective Trim for nighttime visibility . Fastens behind the neck (Velcro) and doesn’t interfere with the SR-100s head attachment. One size fits all, machine washable.
